Installation

Transport and storage of the drums
  • For Installation we do in the case of wooden drums, the nuts on the bolts must be tightened prior to further transport and beginning installation.
  • The Drums may only be transported when standing upright and well secured.
  • On Installation Full drums may only be rolled and stored in an upright position on a solid, level ground. Our Usable drum must be secured against rolling away. The ground wire must not touch the ground.
  • The Rolling direction of the drum is indicated by an arrow.
  • The Casing may only be removed after the drum has been installed in the drum support.
Cable laying equipment/machines
  • All cable laying equipment/machines which produce tensile loads, or are exposed to them, must be designed to withstand the maximum loads which can occur.
  • All the equipment and machines used must be in a perfect technical condition. If the equipment or machines are subject to legally required controls at regular intervals, these intervals must not have expired or expire while deployed.

The cables what we used is must be designed for a nominal load of 1.3 times the max. load. The same applies to the shackles and other connecting components. All load-securing components must comply with the appropriate standards, be identified and be controlled at least once a year by an authori zed official and the results documented.

When we equipping the masts, pay attention that only those parts are installed prior to the cable laying procedure which do not interfere with the actual laying process.

Installation of the rollers must be completed so that the pulling cable and OPGW cable run into and out of the rollers centered. The pulling cable and OPGW cable must not make contact with the mast during installation. It may be necessary to use an extension arm to mount the rollers the required distance from the mast, particularly in the case of angle masts.

The buffer tubes are filled with grease to protect the fiber unit from water and to protect the steel tube from corrosion, the interstices of the cable are filled with grease.
